Company Profile

Energy-efficient luminaires for the food processing industry
beverage industry and temperature-led logistics for many years. This year, the company will exhibit for the second time at the InterCool trade fair in Düsseldorf.
NORKA has a broad product portfolio offering energy-efficient solutions for the illumination of production facilities and supplier companies in the food processing industry, production facilities with higher ambient temperatures, warehouses and cold storage warehouses, including freezer rooms with temperatures around -50 °C. When selecting the lighting, achieving the optimal balance between costs and function always applies. The key to this is to consider investment and operating costs as a whole. Design, lighting technology and the materials used are deciding factors in whether a luminaire is only reasonable to buy, or whether it will prove to be a good choice throughout its entire life cycle, i.e. when considering the "Total Cost of Ownership" (TCO).
Another variable not to be underestimated when optimising costs in food and beverage production is the expenditure involved in cleaning the machinery and plants. Observance of the highest hygienic standards, on the one hand, and the easiest, quickest method of cleaning that also makes effective use of resources, on the other, has made hygienic design an important design principle for machines, systems and components in this sector. The luminaire manufacturer NORKA knows how to design luminaires completely void of any hygiene-related weak spots. The luminaires fulfil the requirements of the HACCP model and, thanks to the IP 69K protection rating, are able to reliably withstand the toughest of cleaning processes using high-pressure cleaners and abrasive cleaning agents and disinfectants. That is not all. With 60 years of experience and great pleasure in innovation, the specialist for special luminaires embraces all of the other requirements for efficient and reliable lighting used in food processing.
